Urdu InPage is a word processor and the page layout software for the languages such as Urdu, Persian, Pashto and Arabic under the Windows which was the first developed in 1994. It is primarily used for the creating pages in the language of  the Urdu & Arabic. As a de facto standard Urdu publishing tool, Urdu InPage is widely used on PCs where the millions of users wishes to create their documents in Urdu. Overall, this makes the on-screen and printed results more easy and fast to hand-written calligraphy than all or most other Urdu software on the market. The Noori Nastaliq typeface was the licensed for the Urdu InPage from Monotype & augmented for use as the main Urdu fonts in this software, along with the 40 other non-Nastaliq fonts.Urdu InPage is reported to be in the use on millions of PCs in Pakistan & India (Asian Countries). It has also been widely marketed & sold legally in UK and India since 1994. Urdu InPage launched its Version 3 at ITCN exhibition Asia in the Karachi, Pakistan, held in the August 2008. This version is the Unicode based, supports more Languages such as Sindhi etc, and other Nastaliq fonts with the Kasheeda have been added into it along with compatibility with the OpenType Unicode fonts. In addition to Arabic, Saraiki, Urdu, Persian & Pashto, other of the languages of the region, such as Sindhi and Hazaragi can be handled in Urdu InPage.
